I'm so sorry about the diagnosis and what you guys have been through, but it seems as though she is doing wonderfully. Your family will be in my thoughts.
As this blog grows, there might be some visitors who are not sure what it's about. Here is a link to my first post so that you can get the background on our story.
My husband Tom and I have been married 12 years. We have two kids, Marc and Rachael and were firmly planted in the "bad stuff doesn't happen to us" camp. On September 10, 2009 we were told that our 5-year old daughter's "most likely nothing but needs more attention" mole is an extraordinarily rare stage 3 melanoma.
Her life is most likely not threatened as we caught it early and her long-term prognosis is really excellent. However, the journey back to full health we have been told will be a long one. This blog will attempt to follow that journey for our whole family.
She certainly is.
